Career Development in Schools Survey
The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) welcomes your participation in this important survey into career development services in Australian schools.
CICA is the National Peak Body for the Career Industry and advocates the benefits of quality career development in schools and the need for schools to provide and appropriately resource professional career development practitioners.
The Australian Government in its 2014/15 budget, made the decision to cease funding to National Career Development funded programs and services. These cuts might see the end of myfuture in December 2014 and will see Job Guide being published for the last time in 2015. Other key resources and programs used in Australian schools will also no longer be published.
At a time of increasing youth unemployment, the need for young people to be making well informed decisions, ensuring a successful transition from school to further education, training or employment has never been greater.
When advocating on behalf of those working in schools that are responsible for the provision and delivery of career education and career services, CICA needs to be providing current up to date information to the relevant stakeholders and decision makers.
Your responses to this survey will enable us to do that more effectively as we seek to gain a national profile of career education and career services in schools and the related activities and resourcing. The survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. I thank for taking time to read this information. I hope you agree to participate.
