Department updates Labour Market Information Portal
The Australian labour market is changing rapidly as the COVID-19 situation continues to develop. We have begun publishing research and analysis on labour market conditions to ensure you have the information you need to understand the effects that COVID-19 is having on the labour market, and to explore how jobs may be changing.

Special Topic Reports
This page has been updated with a number of research and analysis insights related to the early impacts of COVID-19 on the labour market. Key information available includes:
- A link to an interactive tool the Department has developed comparing the relative physical proximity and exposure to disease that different types of occupations have.
- Summary information about Skills Match, a personalised tool on the Department of Education, Skills and Employment Job Outlook (www.joboutlook.gov.au) website designed to help job seekers identify their skills, then present them with new job ideas they may be able to transfer these skills into and that may be in demand right now.
- A brief summarising industry employment in sectors affected by Stage 1 and 2 restrictions and where demand for jobs may increase in the short term.
