The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) recently met in Melbourne to review our strategic objectives, assess progress, and align our initiatives for the path to 2025. This important gathering emphasised open communication, transparency, and the strengthening of connections, which have collectively enhanced our understanding of CICA’s role and strengthened our confidence in the way forward.

Key Highlights from the Meeting:

  1. Unified Message: This session emphasised the importance of conveying a consistent message across all levels of the organisation. By echoing a unified message, we aim to reinforce our commitment to CICA’s mission and enhance our impact on the career development landscape in Australia.
  2. Industry Analysis: We analysed current trends and advancements, including the impact of artificial intelligence on the career industry. Our discussions focused on maintaining sustainability, increasing awareness, and addressing succession planning and capacity-building challenges. We also explored the changing needs of our stakeholders and the evolving role of career practitioners in today’s workforce.
