The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) commends the Tasmanian Government on the launch of the Youth Jobs Strategy 2024-2030. This comprehensive initiative demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting young Tasmanians (ages 15-25) by equipping them with the career guidance, education, and skills required for success in an evolving workforce. 💼🌱
We particularly welcome the introduction of the Careers Guidance Framework, which ensures that all young people, regardless of background, have access to relevant and actionable career advice. This framework will significantly enhance workforce readiness by empowering young people with the knowledge and confidence to pursue meaningful employment. 💪✨
CICA also advocates for extending career guidance into the primary years, as early career education helps broaden aspirations and dismantle limiting stereotypes. 📚👧🧑🏫
